Snowshoeing
From Monday, January 21, 2013
On the trail. Why did this trek seem steeper today than it did four years ago?
We checked out the claims that Mt. Rainier is warmer than Puyallup. Puyallup: foggy and low 30s. Narada Falls: sunny and mid to upper 40s. There was babble about 60 at Paradise. Don't know if it made it. Unequivocally warmer as you went up Mt. Rainier. Guess it is a temperature inversion that is trapping all the stagnant air.
